yoyoyoZ!! Semester 1 examination result is finally out today at 11a.m.!! I’m quite happy and pleased with my results because i didn't fail my law!! hahahas. Managed to get a GPA above 3 with 1 A, 1 B, 1 C & 4 B+. And guess what, my good sister; Timothy Kang Yun Zhen got the exact same GPA as me!!很巧对吧!!果然, 好姐妹就是好姐妹. hahahas... anyway, i think it’s time where i can buy the wallet i aimed for long ago. cause i told myself that unless i get a GPA of 3 and above for my semester 1 examination and also to perform well in the dance concert, i will reward myself a gift by buying the wallet!! hahahas. The wallet isn't very cheap OK. That’s why need to consider very long >.However, this is only my year 1 sem 1 result, just the start of the journey. Still got year 1 sem 2, year 2 sem 1, year 2 sem 2, year 3 sem 1 and year 3 sem 2. by then i hope i can still maintain with my results of GPA above 3 so that i can slowly, step by step, march towards my future plans and goals!!

You must be thinking, what are my future plans and goals?! Right!! hmmmm... let me tell you my.... my first goal i set for myself 2 years ago is to enter and complete my Diploma in Integrated Events and Project Management course as i plan to become a events and wedding planner/ coordinator. If possible, i planned to focus on wedding planner/ coordinator because i find the wedding nowadays is getting boring. Also most importantly, i like to see that people carrying happy smile that comes from the bottom of their heart, seeing their blissful smile makes me happy!! hahahas. Sound silly isn't it? Anyway, my second goal is to go overseas to my dream county, Korea. I plan to go there at the age of 23 or 24 where i could have earned enough for my traveling fees @.@... i had forgotten why and how i fall in love with Korea but i know set this goal when i was in secondary school. I think partly is the living culture and weather there attracts me. Their manners towards people and bonds between family and friends are part of the reasons too.(* it's definitely not because of the Korea trend now. i had long ago lock Korea as my dream country.*)

It would be best to work as a wedding planner in Korea!! Cause after watching the Korean show: "We Got Married", i have noticed that the wedding style in Korea is very different compared to Singapore and i really fond in love with it!! But learning Korean language is a bit tough for me because i can only learn through library books?! I belong to those very slow learners when without any assistance. So it's a kind of obstacles for me to go over myself!! hahahas. Moreover, who will want to hire a foreigner to work in their place, right? So it will be great if a company can send me over. hahahas. I think too much already. Because i don't think there's such company in Singapore right?

hahahs. These are just randomly my current goals and future plans. There might be some changes but for now i doubt so. hahahas. However, i will still wonder whether i will be able to fulfil my second goal cause it's kind of far fetch for me now. kekekeks.

woohoo! finally horizon's concert is over. suddenly everything seems to finish very fast. past few weeks was still wondering how am i going to survive through rehearsals and actual performances. however, everything ended in just a blink OK eyes. all right, let me post about the rehearsals and performances.

17th September 2009, Thursday:
headed down to Victoria Theatre at 6p.m. started blocking for Janice's item at 6.30p.m. alot of positions on stage need to remember. had plotting for YanDan's item's at 8p.m. plotting was even worse as the audiences seats is so dark. very hard to mark the positions. can only try to look for markings on stage. danced with the lighting and i hope i got the correct position. followed by plotting for ShiJi's item at 9.30p.m. the lighting for ShiJi's item is abit dark and I'm trying very hard to dance. maybe this is my first time and i may not got used to it. everything ended at around 11plus and home sweet home...

18th September 2009, Friday:
this will be a long day but quite a slack one for me cause my busy day was yesterday. reached theatre at around 10.15a.m. and start blocking for shiji's item. an extra blocking we added ourselves as we are not confident in the positions for this dance. at around 11.30p.m. had plotting for Janice's dance. dance with the lights and positions. then had blocking again at 1p.m. for ShiJi's item cause Ruoning was not here in the morning. then had lunch and break all the way till 6p.m. another blocking for YanDan's item and rushed to prepare for full dress rehearsal with full make-up and hair. standby for rehearsals and rehearsals started at 8p.m. i can say i did not full up for some part of the dance as i was looking for the marking for my position. had debrief by Huang Laoshi and cleared up.

19th September 2009, Saturday:
reached theatre at 2p.m. sharp! nearly late!! hurried and changed into dance attire as Ye Laoshi wants to do some plotting for some items before the last run of rehearsal. had full costume and hair for rehearsal and this time i think i did better comped to yesterday. after rehearsals, had a quick dinner and started to make-up and get changed for the actual concert! was abit nervous at first. but everything seems to be happening so fast. one dance after another. to me, it's like the whole concert ended within 15 minutes. but it's actually 1.5 hours. had finale and horizon cheers lead by Jace! went down stage to take photos with family and friends. thank you mom, dad, big aunt, small aunt, uncle, cousin, Xiaoshi, Amanda, Liyun, Selene, Jean, Magdalene and JingJing for coming to support the concert. million thanks to Janice, Jophia, Jace, Wanting and Waiyee, TingFeng, Huang Laoshi, my lovely ladies and Yunting, and DEPM classmates for the presents, surprises, flowers and hugs!! i really had alot of fun during the 3 days. my first ever concert! thanks to all Horizon dancers whom make the concert such a memorable one for me!!

after packing up, had a debrief by Huang Laoshi and off we go!!! headed to MacDonals with Elaine, Ruoning, Glenn, XueQi, Ah wai and one of their friend. had our supper there and chat all the way till midnight. take NR3 home and it was going 1.30a.m. i guess. hahahas. then took some photos of the flowers etc and off to bed.

and Jace is leaving to Bali the next day. wishing her all the best and to live happily every after with her husband!!

Title: Why Not Dance?

Day/ Date: Saturday/ 19th September 2009

Time: 8.oop.m. - 9.30p.m.

Ticket price: $20 (Adult) $15 (Students)

Choreographers: Mr. Henry Ng Chay Kuang, Goh Chee Seng, Kenneth Tan Ting Feng, Oei Chu Yan Janice

Why Not Dance?" is an intriguing contemporary dance production showcasing innovative works that portray the vast possibilities in dance. The choreographers are bold in exploring the endless possibilities in dance movements, employing creative techniques coupled with original ideas to engage the audience.
Experienced choreographer Mr Henry Ng Chay Kuang leveraged on his strong dance background in his piece entitled “Life • Unpredictable” It seeks to express the ups and downs as well as unforeseeable circumstances one may encounter in life. Yet so long as one remains convicted and holds onto one’s beliefs, he will still be able to attain success.

We are honored to have 2 guest choreographers from Dance Ensemble Singapore – Ms Cai Shiji and Ms Goh Yandan – to put together 2 separate items for this performance. In “Wind • Thunder” Ms Cai Shiji, who recently graduated from further dance studies at the Tisch School of Dance in New York, United States, drew inspiration from these natural geological phenomena to characterize her reflections of these imageries. Ms Goh Yandan’s piece “Eternity” takes on a different note with fluid broad movements across the stage, daring one to challenge the extremes and traverse perceived boundaries. In addition, we have also invited a professional dancer from China to collaborate in this production, adding to the diversity of the items.

More importantly, this performance provides a valuable opportunity for our budding choreographers - Mr Goh Chee Seng, Ms Janice Oei and Mr Kenneth Tan - to present their original works. Mr Goh Chee Seng explores one’s loneliness at night and longing for someone to fill up the space beside him or her in “Double pillow, single head”. Through sleek, alluring moves, Ms Janice Oei’s “Elle” is a manifestation of feminity on stage, defying conventional stereotypical traits associated with the gender. “Hide and seek” bares the heart and soul of Mr Kenneth Tan to shrug away haunting memories which pains and suffocates.

2009 marks the 8th year of establishment for Dance Horizon Troupe (Singapore) and we hope to continue to impress as well as to inspire the audience with our original works.

*Note: for those who bought the concert tickets, please do arrive 15 minutes (7.45p.m.) before the concert starts so that the concert can start punctually. thank you for the cooperation.

hi people. it's been awhile since i last blog. currently having vacation. but it's been quite pack for me. had countless dance practices and rehearsals but still managed to squeeze out some time to meet up my ladies. i was like a rolling tap during dance. as most of you guys know I'm a 汗宝宝 , i really can sweat a lot during my dance practice. moreover, the weather now is so humid and hot. maybe you will be thinking, sweating good what. can slim down. however, this logic does not applies to me. i also don't know why. hahahas. so sad right.

OK back to topic, due to the continuous rehearsals and practices, my whole body felt so tedious. my knee and foot are injured and in pain, muscles are aching. but nevertheless, its less than a week to concert. so have to hang on tight and move on. cause not only I'm tired, every dancers is tired and body filled with injuries. especially our knee. our dance had a "culture". the more tired we are, the more crazy we will be. so as to keep our energy level high and to make us feel less tired. we will be bumping in to theatre this Thursday. which means rehearsals on Thursday, Friday and Saturday morning. and Saturday night will be the actual performance. woohoo!! fierce right. hahahas. was wondering whether my body can take it a not. *EXCITED*

anyway, this is my first ever concert. I'm so excited and worried. worried that i won't remember the steps and perform well!! there are still many different area where i can improve on. hope it's not too late! GOGOGO!!!
